Just wanted to thank you for sorting our my 11-year-old old MacBook Pro with a new solid state drive, update and general clean up. It's running like new - actually, it might be even faster given the state of broadband services 11 years ago. Dave was quick and efficient - collecting and delivering the refreshed Mac on the same day. Couldn't be happier and definitely recommend.

The customer service provided by GX Computers in our hour of need, and the speedy resolution to a long standing computer problem was highly impressive. I have no hesitation in recommending GX Computers to others in need of expert advice or technical support.

Thank you for helping me out of a hole when both of my laptops blew up at pretty much the same time. In fact, I can honestly say that I ended up being glad they did. You identified the problems, kept me up to speed as you were fixing them, did nothing without my permission and also updated them to improve their performance. I now have two machines that are, if anything, better than they were when new, and all for an incredibly reasonable cost. I would have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone (in fact, my wife may be in touch with you very soon!!).

Thank you for the work you have done on recovering over 7,000 music tracks from my broken laptop. I thought my music was lost forever, you are an absolute life saver! The reconditioned laptop you supplied is also working very well, so much cheaper than having to buy a new one.

Thank you for reorganising our Windows 10 PC, which has made it so much more “user friendly”. It now starts up and responds far more quickly. Also the personal instruction videos you made for us were extremely helpful and will be a useful form of future reference. We really appreciated the amount of time you spent ensuring we understood everything. We can highly recommend you to others with utmost confidence; in fact we have already done so!

I offer a repair and support service for both Apple and Windows computers/laptops that is reliable and cost effective.
If your computer or laptop is running slowly I can significantly speed them up. I can check for viruses and spyware, which if present, can have a performance impact on your machine.
As a member of the Microsoft Refurbisher Program I can offer Windows 10 licenses at really competitive prices. I can also source reliable and cost effective second user equipment. All second user equipment is provided with a warranty.
I can set up the technology in a way that is streamlined and logical so that working with computers, laptops and tablets becomes a pleasure rather than a pain.
I can make short instructional videos for you on a range of computers topics. These videos are geared personally to you and run from my website.
If you have a laptop that is not being used would you consider allowing it to be renovated so that it can be used again by children who do not have access to the Internet? This would enable them to participate in online learning sessions that are organised by their schools?
Due to Covid many children will face a period of self-isolation and having to learn from home. With parents probably already working from home and perhaps brothers and sisters doing the same, many families will find there aren’t enough screens to go round.
If you would be willing to make a donation the process would be as follows.
The laptop will be renovated in the following way.
I intend to provide this service for zero cost. However if the laptop does not have a charger or is missing an important component then it may be necessary to make a small charge to the school.
I will accept any donated laptops. If your laptop is too old to reuse, I will recycle it, retaining any usable parts for use in other machines. Whether it is usable or not, all data will be completely wiped from the hard disc drive.

No personally identifiable information is used on the website, cookies are not used. The website is organised in the following way.
Every computer connected to the internet is provided with a unique (domain) name and an IP (Internet Protocol) address. GX Computers does not host the website, this is done by a company called LCN. When a visitor comes to the website the LCN servers log the visit. Over a period of time it is possible for me to log into the LCN portal to see how many visitors have come to the site, how long they have stayed, which parts of the site they have visited and what part of the world they have come from. As no personal user information is used on the website it is very unlikely that any individual's personal details can be tracked after visiting the site. The information that is collected by the LCN servers stays within the company on their servers.
I can offer remote support, but to do this I need to ask for your help. The remote support program needs to be installed onto your computer/laptop to enable this support to work. Before downloading the program please look at this short video showing you how the program is installed and how it works. To run the video please click here.
